About the E-Zine

 About The Creative Nothing

The Creative Nothing is the literary wing of The Unspooked Project, a broader effort to bring Max Stirner’s egoism out of the dusty corners of philosophy and into the hands of the people.

The Creative Nothing is an online zine dedicated to exploring the work and legacy of Max Stirner and his philosophical contributions through a variety of creative and intellectual lenses.

This e-zine exists to uplift egoist voices. This includes writers, essayists, critics, artists, memers, propagandists, thinkers, and creators who want to discuss their experiences, analyses and critiques of a world that promotes idea of serving ideals.

We publish work that unmasks spooks, resists identity traps, and speaks from the self rather than for a cause.

We welcome submissions that include art, memes, comics, digital and non-digital art (drawing, paintings, designs), think pieces, essays, research, reviews and more.

Whether through essays, analyses, fiction, poetry, or strange hybrids, The Creative Nothing celebrates egoism as a living force. As a disruption. If you write to own yourself, not to please, we want to hear from you.

Our aim is to provide a platform for diverse interpretations and engagements with Stirner's ideas.

We publish contributions to our e-zine on a consistent basis.

We also seek to publish a print zine on an annual basis, for which we are currently trying to collect funding.

Please check out our submissions guidelines for more information regarding what exactly we are looking for:
